Thursday, August 24, 2007The Dawson Eagles scrimmaged yesterday with Magnolia West High School's freshmen, sophomores and juniors at Magnolia's new stadium. The Magnolia Mustangs will travel to the Rig in two weeks for Dawson's first regular-season game. Scrimmage photos are here.

Friday, August 10, 2007The Dawson Eagles now have their own website at www.DawsonEagles.org. The website's official launch date is August 30, the day of the Eagles' first game.
Dawson's 2007 junior varsity team will become the school's first varsity team in the 2008 season, when the team's juniors compete against area seniors — that will be a challenging year for all involved! Finally in 2009, when the newly constructed Glenda Dawson High School opens, the previous year's juniors will be seniors competing against other players their own age.
Thursday, August 9, 2007The Pearland Oilers Head Start camp attracted some 270 nineth, eighth and seventh graders for three intensive half-day workouts on Pearland High School's practice fields. Photos are here.

Friday, June 8, 2007Coho Salmon in Lake Michigan? I thought salmon were only found in streams and rivers, but Patti and her fishing buddies caught a nice bunch of salmon a mile or so from downtown Chicago - and she has the pictures to prove it.
