My visit to the Oklahoma City Outdoor Symbolic National Memorial was a very sobering experience. This quiet oasis in the middle of a busy city is a place where visitors can spend some quiet time reflecting back on their thoughts during this tragic event in our history. While the memories bring back the sadness and pain felt during this time, the symbols in the Memorial bring tranquility and peace and hope for the future.--Patti

25191-Reflection pool * The two huge twin gates mark the formal entrance to the Memorial. They frame the exact moment of destruction - 9:02 AM, April 19, 1995. The East Gate represents 9:01, marking the innocence of the city before the attack. The West Gate represents 9:03, the moment we were changed forever.
